"I think he's one of those who is quite adept at passing the blame and I know that he has quite a high opinion of himself."

Quote from Simon Jordan, former CP owner.

I wouldn't want Jordan any where near our club, but I do admire his absolute bluntness. refreshing in a world of a 'pc' media that pander to the public.

I think that was one of the notable differences between the 2 sides, they were a lot more mobile, especially when breaking forward. Everton need to work on their recruitment and stop signing players who can barely move.

Williams didn't cover himself in glory for that goal, and should have done better, but so should Keane, the mistake from Sandro/Martina was criminal!

Complete and utter arse, mr serious face in the presser then after walking off he’s all smiles and smugness.

I wonder how many decent managers would actually want this job at the moment if he were to get his marching orders. After the club spent so much money replacing a lot of the deadwood we finally got rid of we now seem to be even further away from resembling a top side.

A new manager would be relying on a lot of out of form players to turn their form around plus hope funds are available for players that we need in positions we're ridiculously short in.

At the moment it's not exactly an enticing position for a fresh manager.

With the players who are due back from injury, minus a recognised centre forward, the players are there mate

It's just that they aren't being set up right, played out of position or hardly being played - Lookman, Davies, Mirallas etc.

I'd wager that when the new manager comes in, that stories will emerge of disarray and disharmony behind the scenes.

Despite Moonhead doing his best to suck the life out of the club, we're still an attractive proposition.

At Southampton he had Mane and Long. Both with pace to burn which makes it even more puzzleing as to why we havent got anyone similar. He knows that pace is crucial in this league

I've said this myself- if you look at the Southampton team that was assembled whilst he was manager then our current squad becomes even more baffling. Southampton have been notoriously efficient recruiters over the last few years in conjunction with developing some very good academy players so perhaps
Koeman didn't have a lot to do with it. Even so, he knows what it takes to get 6th in the premier league. He literally did it. A lot of those players possessed great quality as well- Mane, van Dijk, Wanyama, Romeu and even the likes of Pelle, Bertrand and Soares. Scheinderlin was of course there at one point as well, so he should know what types of players function well in this league.

As you say yourself, that Mane like figure is the one we're seriously lacking. Don't forget we don't have the Pelle target man either. No goals/no pace, what a wonderful combination.
