See my post below yours mate, Silva and Mata where two bright spots in fact of his time there.
I thought so. I understand people being unhappy with the manager at present, but some of the vilification fuelled by such woeful misrepresentation of the facts is ridiculous.
Personally I hope he can turn it around because it's better for us , rather than going back to square one with another new manager.

He won't mate, different days now for the game, once a manager is given the vote of confidence and has already lost a large element of the supporters then they're done.

Can't think of one who ticks both those boxes and survived more than a few months longer.

I thought he was like a breath of fresh air during our first few games last season. He was making brave, positive changes early in the
game, unlike Moyes, who did nothing until the 70th minute, if then.

His first season wasn't too bad, even allowing for that bad spell leading up to Christmas, but he's been hopeless for the whole of this season and the problem has been his selections. It's been obvious for weeks, but he's done nothing about it.

I'm really worried about how he's going to plan this Brighton game.

Jesus wept. Villa had an owner that wouldn’t spend a penny and couldn’t wait to sell up without actually looking to sell at the time. They hired and fired multiple times per season and flirted with relegation for several seasons in a row.

We have an owner willing to spend, finished 7th last season and are struggling at the moment in OCTOBER. We are not close to doing a Villa you bunch of fannies.

Two defensive midfielders and Sigurdsson on the wing.

I still think he should get until Xmas to sort it. But then I , unlike most on here, still believe he can sort it based on his performance at Soton. As I've said it's better for the club if he does, otherwise we go back to the beginning with another manager.
Impatience with managers can become a destabilising problem. It's akin to dislocating your shoulder , the more you do it the more frequently and problematic it becomes. It appears a manager now has just over a year to prove himself. So if there is a new manager my advice to him would be to get a move on cos you ain't got long.

Didn't do City, Chelsea, United or Spurs much harm.

What do the club do if we're in the or around the bottom three at Christmas ?.

How do we attract the quality players we desperately need ?.

The team is in free fall and Koeman appears clueless as to how to fix things.

A new manager may be a case for damage limitation, rather than progression.

@COYBL25
I do understand the urge to sack him. However we are still only at the start of his second season and are trying to blend a number of new players into the team. Second seasons are notoriously difficult for most managers.
I would afford him more time based on his relative success in equally difficult circumstances at his previous club. It is obviously better for our club if the current manager can put right what is wrong with what is now his team than return to the start with a new manager.
I am willing to remain patient for a while longer yet.
