Anyway, it just backs up my point that I'm not sure some of these players give a damn about the whole thing. They're getting their money so whatever happens happens. They do not love Everton.
However, it all goes back to the manager eventually.

The morning after the night before and I'm asking myself, did that actually happen or did I dream a re-run of the Spurs game but they had different kits on. I didn't even have a drink last night and I still can't believe it.

There is so much wrong at the moment that it's hard to believe.
Firstly, even though Stekelenberg did fine, using The Europa League to give minutes to our 2nd choice keeper does not sit well with me.
At right back we are missing Coleman badly. Holgate isn't good enough going forward, Martina isn't good enough defensively and it would appear that it will take some sort of miracle for Kenny to ever get a chance.
At left back Baines had his worst ever game for us last night I would say, he's struggling to give us the attacking width we need from our full backs because of his lack of athleticism, but he is literally the only left back at the club other than Luke Garbutt (who can't get a game for the U23s). Criminal we didn't sign any cover.
At centre back we have two ageing defenders, one crocked dodgy Argentine and Michael Keane who started really well for us, but looked like he had never played centre back in his life last night.
Morgan Schneiderlin looked brilliant last season, but since he came back from the summer has looked dodgy in pretty much every game he's played.
At striker, Koeman is absolved of blame for us not signing another striker since he couldn't have been clearer in saying that we needed one, so he gets some leeway on this - Calvert-Lewin is quick, has decent movement and is an out ball, but he lacks the strength to hold off big defenders and his touch isn't always great. He also doesn't really have much in his locker as far as guile is concerned. Sandro is unpredictable, wanders a bit too much for my liking and is too keen to get a yard and let fly on his right foot, but I do think there might be more to come from him.
I'm more and more concerned that Rooney and Sigurdsson are going to struggle to play together. I'm not against the idea of two number 10s in principle, Spurs manage to play with two of them just fine, but we appear to be really struggling to find the right balance.
The balance of the midfield generally is totally wrong. I don't know necessarily what the answer is, but it needs to change. We're too slow - I don't mean just the running speed of individual players, but more importantly the speed we move the ball and the movement required to make this happen.
It's desperate at the moment. It feels ridiculous to suggest that Koeman is under pressure, but he has to be. There's every likelihood that by Sunday evening we will have lost 4 games on the bounce and regardless of who the opposition are, you don't get to do that if you've spent the kind of money he has. After Sunday we have 4 consecutive home games and I want to see us win every single one of them

No pace whatsoever, we're that slow at moving forward the opposition have 11 men behind the ball before we're even out of our own half.

After United we have four at home on the bounce mate, not sure on the order, but Sunderland in the cup and limassol in Europa are two, Bournemouth and Burnley the two in the league.
In paper should be four wins, bad results in some/most will really heap the pressure on.
Given our record in the comp, the Sunderland game has cup upset written all over it.
It was Chelsea, league champions no reason to panic.
It was Spurs, they are title contenders.

Nah, not getting into this debate, people used to say the same about Steve Round etc etc - none of us will ever know what the coaches do and how good they are because we're not at the training ground
...for the time being, I wonder if Rooney would be better on the left. He's the type who could link more effectively with Baines.
