Ronald Koeman discussion

Lukaku is not Koeman's player. He was another managers find and purchase. If he leaves, Koeman will have to step up and replace the best signing for 30 years.
He hardly 'found' a player that was courted by all of Europe's top clubs after being the top scorer in Belgium as a teenager, signed by Chelsea as a teenager for £18m, scored 17 goals for West Brom the season before he signed for us and cost us in the region of £5m to loan him for a year...

If by 'found' you mean saw him in plain sight and paid a record transfer fee for him... Then yes he definitely 'found' him. If not then you clearly are deluded.

And dalglish signed Luis Suarez for the rs mate, he also signed some utter turd for them as well and was found out as being useless and out of his depth and then sacked. Uncanny parralels really besides that dalglish still managed to win a pot for them.

Strange how lukaku was all Martinez doing whilst niasse you've stated was forced onto him. Nice ignoring of the fact he tried to get ba originally and Chelsea refused but offered lukaku tho.

So it has absolutely nothing to do with the system implemented by Conte then which has taken them up an extra level? Just because he didn't buy the players themselves doesn't mean it's not his team Jesus Christ you're getting worse by the day
I dont care about Conte or Mourinho, tbh. But if the key players of Conte's team are bought by Mourinho - though it;s a good job done by his successor - it isn't a team he built.

He gave Lukaku a permanent home and a built his team around him...Koeman has kept that plate spinning...to deny that fact is churlish beyond belief.

He can win it, I'm not legitimising it. They are Mourinho's team.
By that logic Martinez's 5th place finish was all Moyes.

He paid £28m to give him a permanent home...it was hardly taking in a journeyman.

AND... You can't argue in one thread that we shouldn't be overly reliant on Lukaku and in this one laud Martinez for building a team around him.

Who were rank last season.

So improved by a different manager.

But Lukaku being ace this season is somehow Bobbys genius?

Dont get it.
They were rank because they downed tools...a lot of it about last season I hear.

And yes, Lukaku's first manager who believed in him and gave him the confidence to go out and make a name for himself as a consistent top scorer was Martinez.

Dear me, there;s some here who would even deny him that.

Is this the next front to attack Martinez on after downgrading the "rubbish" 21 game winning season...that Lukaku was not a massive feather in his cap?

Bottom line: if Martinez hadn't brought in players like Lukaku and breathed life into Barkley's neglected career this chubby Dutch lad would still be at Southampton honouring his contract.
