We've gone from literally poo pooing everything Koeman does to saying Baines was carried by Pienaar. My word. Pienaar was huge in terms if their partnership but Baines tireless running down the wing as well as creating a quite incredible amount of chances for the team was more impressive. I find it funny how Pienaar went to Spurs and was utter turd while Baines continued to be consistently our best player.

FFS, the lad had a very good few seasons when Pienaar did the heavy lifting for him.

He;ll retire with no honours in the game. If he'd had supreme talent that wouldn't be happening.

Socrates won the Copa America once. Tom Finney, Johnny Haynes never won anything. In the Premiership era, Le Tissier, Ferdinand, Cahill, Defoe; no medals.

But okay, that 's football. We like to win medals, but it is difficult.

We are also 6 points better off, having won 3 more and drawn 3 less with the same number of losses. And we all know which direction we headed in from this point onwards last year!

We have gone from one extreme to another, our football will increase 10 fold when we can get a CB who can play a little not asking for Stone style madness....
