Plus, if he has achieved CL with us, it would more than likely be at Arsenal's expense. If he breaks the glass ceiling with us, there'd be nothing Arsenal could offer him that we couldn't match. Wages, transfer fees, CL football, trophy opportunities, there'd be no difference. I could maybe see Barca calling at that point or maybe City but not Arsenal.

I used Arsenal as a Example, pick any number of clubs in Spain, Italy etc etc

He sees us a stepping stone, like Southampton.

The irony of that is Arsenal would only possibly go for him if we cracked the top 4, which I believe would be at the expense of Arsenal. So why would he leave a team in the CL to a team that's not?

Some posters said RK uses Everton as a stepping stone. To be honest, who would not? Moyes done it in fact most managers will do the same...until the moment when Everton have the financial power to challenge the Sky6. And for now it seems Moshiri is doing it...progressively?

As I said above who would want Koeman at this moment that would be a step up from us? Can we have some name's please, because I've seen nothing right now that would justify interest from clubs above were we are. Even if we did get back into the top six he'd have to be more successful then that to move up a level.

Exactly, until we become one of the elite then every player/manager will think the same.
Its up to Moshiri to get us to the point were there is no better place to be, but right now there is 6 teams that are more attractable than us just in this league.

Give the man chance to change the squad and instil his methods onto them before his supposed style is judged. It is obvious that Koeman doesn't have the team he wants, and that is the main reason why I am holding judgement for now. Maybe phasing Barry out will help usher in his era of football, but we need to get the right support for Lukaku as well. A lot really depends on how Ross develops the rest of this season.

Clearly we aren't all that right now and we haven't been for a long time but that's not my point. You haven't answered my question. We must of offered Koeman something good to make him leave Southampton. No doubt you'll simply say it was the money and it probably is partly that but it was mainly down to the fact that we are a more attractive club in a more attractive position then Southampton are. You expect that surely?! So the question is, what club right now would want him that are in a more attractive position then we are that can offer him better then us? Can we have some name's this time please because everyone keeps saying he will drop us but they never say who for in any serious sense anyway.

Their performance against the RS was 10x better than anything Koeman's had us playing this season.
