It's a brave call to say whether our £6m a year gaffer will see the full tenure of his contract. To say it as I see it, I don't think he will. Time will tell.
Passions are running high tonight - rightly so - we are all hurting. I just hope it hurts the players as much as it does me..never so sure on that point though.
For absolute clarity, in my humble and elevated view of our club, we should never get beaten at home in the Third Round of the FA Cup by Leicester City. That is not good enough. But it's professional sport and results don't always match the performance...I get that too.
Is it Koeman or the players who get the brunt of our frustration? I'm not sure as both deserve criticism. The two have become separated...great sides...and we not one....have a harmony with the manager and his team and they are seen as one. That isn't the case with Everton 2016/17.
We need to move on from El Fraudo and his dereliction of responsibility. That said, Koeman has to accept and grow into the role he has inherited and for which he is handsomely paid. He is the manager of Everton FC - a privilege afforded to very few - and show us why he has that position. Jury is out for me, blame the past, blame the current players - not for me to say - but he took the dough and the 'project'.
So, Koeman...over to you. Do your job, do it responsibly, tell us the truth and you never know....there might be a great team in there somewhere.
