Ah don't start this again!
This is the same thing we were talking about in the Bolasie thread, just because he made saves doesn't mean he won us points. I'd say he won us points against City, because he made a series of very good saves that I wouldn't necessarily expect another keeper to make. At a push I'd say the Spurs game could possibly go down as him winning us points but the other 2 games were just decent saves that I would expect any reasonable keeper to make 9 times out of 10. It's not like there'd just be an open net if he wasn't playing, I'm confident Joel could have made the saves that Stekelenburg did in those games.

First half against Boro was dreadful until they scored and woke us up, Toff.
Then we came to life for about fifteen minutes up until half time.....and promptly hit the snooze button again once the second half started![]()
Yep true.
We have an issue with starting games. It's something Koeman needs to sort out.
The problem is we've had an issue being slow out of the blocks for the past 2 years. There is something extremely wrong with this squad.
We havnt played well for 90 minutes all season.
Seeing as we have won a fair few of those games I'm not sure if thats a good or a bad sign...
Stek won us seven points in the first three games Zat...
imagine what a good keeper would have won us?
Mate, why do you even come here all you do is moan about how crap it is, sod off if you cba debating with differing viewpoints

Well, they're there for the taking on Sunday because they've had to prepare for that game against Sparta all week and will have about one day of full training to turn and address their thoughts to Everton. They will be unprepared and knackered in the last 20 minutes, so only three points here will suffice as far as I'm concerned.A lot of Southampton fans and Matthew Le Tissier (he of i spent all of my career with a small club fame) are rubbing it into our faces about how Koeman has supposed to have taken a backwards step coming here.lol Were not firing on all cylinders at the moment but this weekend would be the right time to click into form.Because i really want to see us show how much of a backwards step Koeman has supposedly taken by tearing Southampton to shreds this weekend. It's been a bit of a downwards spiral since that Norwich match but Koeman needs two full seasons at the very least to prove his worth.
It's funny that you keep doing this, I say that because you never made such comments under Martinez prior to games. I wonder why that isWell, they're there for the taking on Sunday because they've had to prepare for that game against Sparta all week and will have about one day of full training to turn and address their thoughts to Everton. He rests for no man.
Hopefully he wedgies that shadow of a man to his right at half time.
