I used to live in Sofia, not far from the Levski stadium and I used to watch all the international games. I was a Slavia Sofia man, myself. I watched all the Levski games when they were in the Champions league... from memory, an Italian team in qualifying, then Barcelona, Chelsea and Werder Bremen. Chelsea fans did the waving of banknotes at the Levski fans. They were the worst.Lazio and my local team Levski have a long standing friendship bizarrely - if you're going political Lazio are obvious and Levski are "the police team" so it's just weird. Then again it's just a bunch of nazis and lunatics I suppose.
But hey the centennial of Levski was celebrated with a game against Lazio in 2014.
I personally dislike both Roma and Lazio - preferred Roma but they treated Totti like a criminal because he told them the truth so now I'm back to disliking both again lol

My memory is hazy, but wasn't Bobby Mihaylov's 17 year old son in goal? I followed Slavia because I didn't want to follow the police team or the army team. I lived in Sofia for two years. I occasionally got the night train to Belgrade to watch Red Star, but they were nothing compared to the team they had in the early 90s. Also, Serbian football fans were really scary, it wasn't an enjoyable experience. I loved Bulgaria, totally underrated country. I'd love to go back.Yup, Chievo, Barcelona, Chelsea.
Scored the 1st Bulgarian CL Group stage goal and it was an absolute banger, but the clip only exists with potato quality on Youtube so pointless to show it. The game ended Levski 1 - 3 Chelsea, if anyone's bothered for some reason lol
I used to live close to Georgi Apsaruhov stadium, like next door to it, then move away to be a 10 min walk to the national stadium/CSKA stadium, and now I can see the lights of Ovcha Kupel when they play.
Why Slavia mate, there's probably 15 of you in the country - my wife's dad is also randomly a supporter! lol
Well Slavia were the mafia team so swings and roundabouts lolMy memory is hazy, but wasn't Bobby Mihaylov's 17 year old son in goal?
