He is what he is: a second striker who likes a free role to ghost in behind defenders. He doesn't have the discipline to play anywhere else. He really is a niche player and cant be utilised anywhere else.

nothing personal, he's a good player, but barkley is better and they need to play in the same position to get the best out of them.... and ross is a far superior player and needs games

Thought he was decent on the right today, and against Villa.
However when we were under the cosh a bit in the 2nd half, he wasn't contributing much to the team without the ball and probably should have been subbed. Then again, his play in the final 3rd always looked a threat so perhaps Martinez felt it was worth the risk leaving him on as he's always good for a goal.
