I view the forum through Google Chrome on my Android phone and the past week or so the Google play app keeps opening up and asking me to install either william hill, some photo printing app or I think it was twitter. This only happens when viewing GOT. Its just happened twice in about 30 secs. I'm a paid up forum supporter so should this be happening?

Shouldn't happen - they've been on our blocked advertiser list since day one;



... Sometimes though, they use other URLs to bypass it. Like that URL might be direct to the apple/android app store? If you can grab it for us I'll add it to the list.

Yeah I thought they would be mate! That bar down the bottom is now linking to something else in the App Store so guessing that’s the problem. I’ll try grab a link if it comes up again!

It was yes, only on my phone, ive muted it now, so will let you know if it happens again, but I was sure I had muted it before, maybe I fat fingered it.

It plays the sound automatically for me every time I go on a new thread

Getting ads playing with no option to mute. I spend most of the day on the site when I should be working, so having sound drawing everyone's attention to the fact I'm not working is very annoying.

Thanks mate. I'm collating the audio adverts/asked our advertiser for help. if any different to the below appear, please grab it for us.

We don't intend/expect to have audio anywhere on the site - unless someone turns it on.

Glad you are working on removing the detol advert. It's so, so, so annoying. It plays even with the chrome autoplay turned off on my mobile. It's infuriating. Thanks in advance of your work lads.

It's even playing the sound with my phone turned on to silent!!!!!

Currently investigating.

I can see mute buttons in them. I've also seen them and tested them. But I do know where those come from so I can have them blocked. They definitely shouldn't be auto sound - could be because one's been unmuted in the past.

I'll confirm once I've heard back from the vendor so you know they should be off.
