He could have been like John Stones without the injuries. Imagine Rodwell, Stones, Galloway, Browning, Holgate, Foulds in the same team. We'd win everything and never concede a goal all season.
 


Said it before, Rodwell's biggest problems were two fold.

1. Moyes coaching of him. He played in different positions and was given different roles, including a right winger on occasions. How can you expect a young player to develop when every week he is doing something different? It isn't like pushing a winger further forward, he is literally containing possesion, then he is not, then he is linking up with strikers, all different weeks.

2. his genetical issues. Whether he was here, at city or real madrid, he still would have had the injury nightmare that stunted his rpogression whilst at city. It wasn't a bad knee, it was a growth spurt, so therefore no matter how good he may have been at the time, he still would have been sidelined for so long.

for what its worth, i liked him as a player and was sad to see him go, but like anichebe, the ship has sailed with him, and i wouldn't want to resign him on anything other than a free when he is fit enough to fulfil that contract. even then it would be for the squad not the first team.
