Rodwell transfer request?

Maybe not, but he's got many more years ahead of him and still can improve with us, not to mention Arteta hadn't exactly been on fire for the last two years.

You have a such a short memory and you don't look at the facts either. He is 20 and Arteta is 29/ Jack is english and Everton born and bred. Arteta was no better last season than Jack's worst games, I remember people could not stop complaining about his constant sideways passing and never moving forward. In the end Jack is definitely better than having Everton because he has more of a future while Arteta only had a past.

Arteta is a class act fella, Jack Rodwell gives you nothing, the only thing I'll give you is hes 29, apart from that there's no comparrasing , the little Spaniard carried us into europe two years running with his Artistry, why Moyes was holding his hand up to the park end pointing too him, Jack Rodwell has done absolutely nothing for Everton , I think your the one with the short memory soldier

Maybe 3 years ago he was amazing but the past 2 years he has done nothing for us. Jack has a future and again we need a future not a past

His performance at St James park last season was better than any game Rodwell has ever played, he's played nearly every game for Arsenal since, I doubt young Jack would get a look in , in that Arsenal midfield
Do us a favour when he has 1 good game give me a shout because I've yet to see it, I'd take Arteta back 2morrow if it meant loosing Jack even at 29 , Rodwell is all hype
 
Rodwell had 3 boss games against City, Wigan and Villa and was into his best run of form ever before that tw@t Atkinson sent him off for nothing. With injuries and what not he hasn't been the same since.

However, it's fair to say he hasn't lived up to his potential/hype.

Alright one game where he played left midfield and he did well but he was not even in the center. However, sadly we were only able to see Jack when he was improving but not at his peak. But even at that level he was better than Arteta has been for us for the past two years and he was just losing interest. I will say however that Arteta at his peak was better than jack has been so far however he has not been like that for quite some time. Arteta was my favorite player for quite some time however even I understood that he was not doing what we needed from him.
Again, I am not saying Jack is amazing but he better than what Arteta was recently for us.
 
Rodwell is a class act - No doubt - you don t get into the England squad if your not doing something right. Arteta was awesome for us for a number of years, but if Rodwell can stay put, along with Jags/Baines/Barkley we should be able to build a good team with local boys who want to play for the club. Too often Everton have gone for the quick fix, Rodwell signed a 5 year deal not so long ago and will hopefully look at the likes of Vaughan/Gosling and see that staying at an established Premier League club and playing week in week out can only benefit him. We all know we have no money to sign players so if we can hold onto the young guys coming through and build around them i d be happy
 
Rodwell will be a good player if he puts his head down and puts the effort in,i think he will prosper away from here because of how negative we are.
When he played for england a couple of months ago he looked a different player.
