Rodwell and Gosling

Sounded great tonight. Rodwell's distribution is already good and he's already ready for 1st team action. Gosling sounded promising, like a tank on the flank from time to time.

i know its just a friendly, but i don't have too much confidence that youngsters will be able to support the team with this kinda showing.

lol, yea ive noticed that when we have a good pre-season we fail and when we suck pre-season we do great, so heres hoping.

I'd be more worried if they were playing full-on and picking up serious injuries than playing half speed and losing. Friendlies against no mark teams will always produce this kind of disparity - the only chance their players will get to score against a top mark side.

Rodwell is ready to be a squad player, I still think Gosling is a little off. He untidy at times and gives the ball away.

Rodwell seems to be very very mature. He's very composed, good on the ball and his passing is good. His movement off the ball is good and he always supports his back four. I do agree with Moyes though, he's a little laid back and needs be be roughed up a few times. Hopefully that would add a bit of bite and agression to his game.

Rodwell supposedly reverted to right back in the second half, Is Moyes looking to play him there and get the more experienced Neville in midfield for Blackburn?
