Roberto's hour long interview

If we can hang on to him for 5 or 6 years, I truly believe we will win the league once. Oil money or no. Dead serious. The man is just a winner, simple as.

I actually agree with that.

Listening to that interview would convince anyone.

He has what SAF had. An ability to make players believe they are better than they are and play beyond their natural limits. A rare quality among managers.

Great interview and great honesty from Martinez.

May be the only one, but there was one questioner who seemed as intent on ensuring he sufficiently notified us that he watches footy (I think he specifically says such) as asking Roberto an insightful question. Found him annoying but other than that I thought it was great.

Good on you Roberto!

Brennan? MoutsGoat? davek? SteKelly?

Let me check the turbo vault

Anyone can win the league with 'oil money' its quite easy.

Do you think we will win the league within 6 years seriously?

I'm probably too optimistic, and I'm bent by Roberto's words, but what was United before SAF? Obviously, the managing a team today is different than 25 years ago, but *provided certain circumstances* I don't see why Roberto can be successful at Everton as long as he wants.

(*which Davek, among many, may suggest cannot occur*)

I really enjoyed his views on fitness for football.
Muscles used for kicking a ball different to running - who'd have thunk it!!

Everything done with the ball (echoing what the top sports in the world do - all blacks, NFL teamsetc), whereas the Everton players had been used to not seeing a ball for the first 10 days!!!
