sadly i think he will do well for them one player i would of loved to see play in an everton shirt

Well at least Robbie Keane won something at Tottenham, cos' he won't be winning anything for a long time now :lol:

It was spread around the papers that we were going to sign him for around 6 or 7 million when we signed beattie.

And i must admit i was wrong on that occasion because at the time i wanted beattie over keane.

But i cannot understand how people are worried that they have signed him. 18 million rising to 20 for a 28 year old who has only once scored more than 15 league goals in his whole career.

And as for people saying that liverpool might win the league, he is keane of ireland not bloody jesus of nazareth.

Welcome to liverpool robbie your league cup medal is gonna be lonely.

Agreed. The general consensus on this board last year when we didn't sign him was of relief. He's a clever player, but as a striker I would say no better than AJ and, in terms of goals, he's a downgrade from Crouch (!).

correct, he's clever, but not a lot else, doesnt score £20m worth of goals, they will not see a decent return for their extortionate outlay once more

I'm sure the [Poor language removed] supporters are happy because they've signed somebody though. :dodgy:

Good Post BlueSheep, couldn't agree more. He's not worth even half of that in my book. Now stop being a lurker an post more often.

Put's gun to BlueSheeps head*

And you wonder why they call us the bitters. I'm not suggesting that Keane will be a world beater in any stretch of the imagination but at the same time a front four of Torres Gerrard Keane and Babel is pretty damned good. Also what has 28 got anything to do with it. They signed Dogleash when he was 27.

fair enough but me nan would of done worse than that fairy. You never even moved! a bad fart would of knocked me over i was that pissed
