Rivalry weekend (real rivalry, not the Meeja inflated Malaysian Derby)

Palace is barely in London . But that’s beside the point . Not every London is a derby .

A very good point.

Watford is about a twenty five minute train ride from Euston.....probably much closer and more easily accessible to Spurs and Arsenal than Palace or Charlton or even West Ham.

Yet no one ever calls Watford/Arsenal a “London Derby”.

As if to illustrate the manufactured rivalry between the RS and United and how it has its roots in some sort of “rivalry” between the actual cities, the biggest game between sides from each city in years came and went without one mention of a deep rooted municipal antipathy ;)

I think that's because Watford is not actually in London whilst Crystal Palace is (I could be wrong there).
