I'm still trying to wrap my head around this. Worked with the kid at my second job at the restaurant. The night before we were making plans to go to the casino sometime and play some poker. 24 years old. Too damn young. It's just an awful story. Had a fight with his girlfriend and left her to go to the casino and this happened on his way home. All I can think about is his poor mother losing her son a week before Christmas and how this holiday, which is supposed to be about family, will remind her forever of the death of her son. And his girlfriend's last memory of being together is being angry at each other.

It's a cliche but tomorrow is never promised. Hug the ones you love a little tighter and don't ever leave anything unsaid. RIP mate. You were a good kid and you will be missed.

Very sorry to hear that mate. The article send a shiver down my spine. I know what it is to lose a friend in a car crash, as it happened to one of my best mates, over two years ago now. Still not over that now, and there's not a day passing by, without me thinking of him.

You never think such things will happen to people you know, it just proves we need to live life to the full and treat every day as if its our last
