On a football point it is often forgotten that one of the indirect casualties of that crash was a very fine Wolves team.

Wolves were a huge 9 points clear in the league on the night of the crash ( 2 points for a win so equal to about 13 points now ) and would have coasted to the title crash or not. The myth making has it that the Babes were some kind of superteam ( they were good not great and Madrid comfortablly held them even pre Puskas ) so Wolves are unfairly seen as having inherited a title that was not theirs rather than what they were....the best team in England by some way.

saw a picture of duncan edwards today and it left me with a heavy heart, and the rest of your lads- totally gutting. RIP.
