RIP Donald Sinden

Sad news today that Donald Sinden has died from prostate cancer aged 90. A fantastic actor and even at the ripe age of 90 was still in very good form, and this awful illness has taken another.

Here he is on usual good form accepting his honorary degree. RIP old boy.

was in a very old war film I watched not long ago too, can't for the life of me remember what it was

possibly "Escape From Colditz",

much younger obviously but the very same mannerisms and recognisable posh voice he had years later

Starred in Naval war movies, The Cruel Sea and Above the waves.
Was also great in the Doctor in the house and Doctor at large films
The childhood memories come flooding back
