Hatton is going to announce his return to the ring today apparantly ?

Drugs and depression, plus another defeat ( potentially ) could spell trouble for him in my opinion ?

Any boxing fans out there know the lad ?
 

Hopefully he'll be matched against some mug who he'll beat easily then have maybe one more fight and retire again before he gets above his station.

One of my childhood heroes - don't want to see him do a Chuck Lidell.
 

im definitely watching rocky IV tomorrow. or the warrior, class class films. i never really liked hatton, he's really annoying. he'll get destroyed if he fights anyone decent. he looked out of shape when he was boxing, imagine what he's like without the training
 
Mayweather is a drugged up bum that has used paper championships to create a wealth used to bully other camps into fighting his weights.

Wouldnt make my top 20 boxers. A horrendous example of the inbred disease the sport has become in the modern era.

He is a master of defense. The greatest defensive fighter of all time. He makes great fighters look like punch drunk bums. You hate his attitude, i love it personally, but there is no way you can call him a bad fighter his record speaks for itself! Here.....

As for Hatton, he is done no doubt. Used to be a fan when i was younger but this is a bad career move, end up like what Roy Jones Jr is now.

Hand picked, weight extremes, financially made fighter, that has avoided the best of the times for a career. Lamotta Robinson - when there was no one else good enough or brave enough they took each other on. Ever seen Mayweather tested? Ever seen him run from another paper champion more doped up than Armstrong? (Manny!)
Cycling has been dirty for decades, there is and always has been more money in boxing - put the pieces together.

On top of which, with the NFL and NBA giving yearly salaries away that eclipse a boxers career earnings to shame is it any wonder the once mighty boxing nation that was the USA doesnt produce champions at all let alone the odd one or two from say 10 - 15 years ago.

Hatton Mayweather would have been like Mayweather Hopkins at 17 stone. Pound for pound anything. Pfft!
 

Mate, Mayweather fought Cotto and De la hoya at their weights unlike Pacquiao. He hasn't run from any fights, the Pac-May fight is down to politics at the end of the day especially with Bob Arum.


USA have plenty of Boxing talent. The only division they are struggling in is Heavyweight.

To be honest its a sound strategy for a career that involves repeatedly getting punched in the face.
