...yup, and it's looking like Obama's only hope as the economy continues to tank. Romney is the obvious and odds on choice, but I think he's getting opposition from the right in the Republican base who view his Mormonism as something akin to 'unChristian' and he#s generally seen as not hardline enough. Gingrich is second favourite and you'd imagine with his chequered history the GOP wont want to go there!
 
Obama has been the winner of every Republican Presidential debate so far. The only Republican who's actually fit to be president is Jon Huntsman, but he's waaaaaay too sane to ever get the nomination. Romney's not exactly a loon, but he he's a pathological panderer. He will say whatever he has to say to get elected - more so than regular politicians. At heart, I think's he actually a moderate but he's been forced to the right, and would be under heavy pressure to govern from the hard right if elected.

He's the perfect mix of crazy ideas and really good ideas. There's a strong libertarian streak to this country, and he's the pied piper. He will never be President, but at least he's up there talking sense on at least a few issues, and he's consistent - which is a rare characteristic.

I politely disagree. I don't think another Bush will ever be President, even though they're not the same person (Jeb was probably better suited to be President than Dubya). Plus he's been out of office for a number of years now. He's sort of old news at this point.
 
This Rick guy is great........we're going to take action against the three rogue nations of Iran, North Korea and errr ................... < helpful suggestions - France?, Canada ?,.......Pakistan?>...............he's going to be much better than Bush junior......

Given that George W was elected twice i think there's every possibility that Jeb will run and scrape home a victory because after his dad i thought the same that no Bush would ever win another presidential race.

Never underestimate the collective for sheer stupidity so while he may be down and out at the moment he will return,after a suitable period of time in sackcloth and ashes
