Richarlison

Levy doesn’t do depreciation unless it’s the stadium where he claimed about £75M towards PSR even though it’s worth a lot more?

Richy is another one where it’s borderline being a fan versus being shrewd in business. He loves us and for a season or two it would feel like old times. He might nick 6 goals. He could even go injury free. But whatever we pay for him is money spent on a way of bringing in players that have held us back.

Nostalgia and heart strings makes our long term growth weak. We are finally taking off the yoke of financial strain and have our first opportunity in years to really start a rebuild. Thst means for a few years we might have to retain some players who were split on like Doucoure and DCL. That’s fine. We’ll eventually move on from them when we can. But don’t go throwing what little we’ve got at the past.
I’ve said this so many times in this thread but he’s averaged 30 games a season at spurs in a team that he’s not a guaranteed player in (especially when they had Kane), his injuries aren’t that bad!

Then you said he might nick six goals… apart from one awful season at spurs he’s a one in three player every season, even whilst mostly being used on the left.

I’d bring him in, give him the 9 shirt, play him up top and he’ll get double figures for a few years no problem imo

I’m not sure you’ve understood the point I was making
I do,both are highly unlikely. But as a potential buyer one player at least is available to play consistently. If as some are posting we are interested in Richarlison it doesn't bode well for this transfer window.

No, the point I was making is that we shouldn’t be taking fees quoted on blogs as gospel. The fee is suggested for Beto was just as made up.

Everything at this time of the season should be taken with a huge pinch of salt. But I'd imagine whatever happens a player who is available to play on a regular basis is more likely to attract a fee of any magnitude versus one who has a history of injuries.

€35 million!!! Think we can close the thread.
is £29.8million.

Depends on what part of the deal that way is on the table. Was £50m and +£10m for add-ons, they've not been reached I don't reckon, He's had two seasons there, and they've gone backwards. It's not like he's been played to death domestic and internationals. Could have some left in the tank and a point to prove - sounds like a Moyes type redemption story to me...
