2021/22 Richarlison

Spurs are much farther along than we are and are probably on the cusp of making a real stab of going for the League

Richarlison might think he could be the difference in that and that's why he'd like to go there

We're years off from where Spurs are

If we finish mid-table without really having to worry about relegation then it's a good season

Spurs will be looking for a top 4 finish, CL knock out football and a proper go at winning the FA or Milk Cup

We're not even comparable as clubs right now. Hopefully the day will come when we're in the mix like that, but it's a long way off and it's a World Cup year where Richarlison will want to sow up that starting berth for one of the tournament favourites

Rico sometimes hits the deck for me a bit easily, but his work rate excellent in all the games I watch. He's a handful pace-wise, and if he improves his finishing a bit would be a snip 'these days' at 50m. Squeeze 60m out of spurs at least, I honestly think we'd have been relegated without him. Worth remembering he's with us until 2024 though, and also if he has a decent world cup he could be 80m+ to the moneyed clubs going for CL. SO HOLD til Christmas and flog him to Newcastle or whoever Bill you nasty old barnacle.

I certainly don't disagree with that.

I actually don't mind Kenwright using a bit of his schmooze. It's what he's best at.
I don’t think there’s anyone here who’s happy Kenwright is still involved with the club in anything other than a shareholder capacity but him actually doing the job he’s supposed to do whilst he’s employed is hardly cause for outrage.

Yes, they need to activate it this summer if, as reported, they want to flog him to other clubs
Only when they have a buyer will they then pay us i guess. I'm sure there is date attached to the contract, i would assume its before the end of the transfer window.

They will probably pay us and the next day he will be sold to whoever.

Spurs have a world class manager, world class strike force, and a world class stadium. The time is now for them to strike as i don't see them getting more than 2 years out of Conte and Kane in his prime.

If we really have to sell by the 30th, that’s going to suppress any price we get for him. When clubs know you’ve got to sell and by when it gives them enormous leverage.

And who replaces him????!

Yes, he's absolutely a people person.

He might not get anywhere, but I don't see the harm.

Say what you want about Bill, and there's a lot you can say, but this is one area where he does actually bring something to the table

As you say, there's no guarantee he'll get anything done, but it's worth letting him have ago at the very least

The Rodwell deal in particular was done very well

I wouldn't go as far as saying it makes no difference, but I don't see how it's essential to sell now. It is obviously better for the club to sit tight and get our valuation than panic and sell on the cheap to get it into the June 22 accounts.

I really doubt the PL are going to sanction a club on losses if they know that club made an enormous sale a few weeks after their year end.
But a near £70m war chest for us now to go out in July to spend so that we're actually able to give our new star signings a full pre-season would be a massive bonus.
