Supporters of both sides will have been disappointed to see Everton's clash with Crystal Palace called off on Wednesday evening but one Blues fan in particular will have felt more upset than most.
Ric Wee, who has supported the Toffees for the last 30 years, had finally made the trip to Goodison Park and was excited to see Roberto Martinez's side play for the first time in his life.
However, having excitedly posted a picture of himself inside the stadium ahead of kick-off, the match was postponed on police advice because of damage to buildings close to the ground.

The excited supporter posted on Twitter an hour before the game was scheduled to begin: 'Finally, 30 years since supporting Everton, will b watching EFC 'live' for 1st time.'
It seems Mr Wee wasn't the only Everton supporter making the pilgrimage - on Tuesday night the Everton supporters club of Malaysia, the 'Malaysian Toffees' posted: 'Malaysian Toffees Ridhwan Razak and Ric Wee watching Everton play Palace tomorrow. 1st time for both fans, watching EFC play at GP.'
Having heard the news of the postpoment, Mr Wee appeared in defiant mood that the weather wouldn't stop him from watching his beloved Blues one day.
Tweeting a picture of him match programme and ticket, he said: 'Sadly Everton v Palace match called off due to bad weather. Dream to watch EFC play will continue to be on hold.'
