How on earth do you 'recreate' that?
His parents are an example to all how they have handled the whole thing. God bless them and keep a special look out for their son.

Once a blue....
RIP Rhys
AMEN.
Every post has been written with emotion and caring.
As @tommye says, the whole family have remained dignified throughout, and have acted with great fortitude in the face of such an adversity that nobody should ever have to go through.
May God bless them.

I'm always a positive Blue. Following Everton defines a lot of my day and I choose to enjoy the things we do right. We always seem to be classy when it comes to the non football side. On Sunday we have the Rhys and Howard tributes. If our team can't feed off that connection and bring us 3 points, my positivity will be challenged. COYB.

My total respect goes to his parents and family. They upheld their dignity throughout. At the time I remember how they gave some hope in of all of this. On the one hand you had the scumbags that did this and their parents covering up for them. Then you had Rhyss's family coping with their great grief but remaining dignified throughout. RIP Little Blue

Chokes me up this.

I've got the limited edition purple shirt still in it's box on display at home.

RIP little Blue.

It's something any parents should never, ever have to go through, but Rhys' parents have shown incredible strength, dignity and humility all through their desperately sad loss. They epitomise what I hope I would be like if it were one of my kids. And they epitomise what being a decent, honest, hard-working family is. On another plane they are Evertonians, and the fact that they have found some solace, some calm waters amongst other Blues is a fitting commendation to our Club and how it really does embed itself whole-heartedly in the community.
I recall like it was yesterday the home match after Rhys' death and how we all stood with tears in our eyes for one of our own.....most of all I remember simply wondering how the family would cope. It's clear they are a strong, resilient and loving family and that they would never have allowed themselves not to cope. Unfortunately I'll miss Sunday as I'll be on a flight across the Atlantic....but my thoughts will be firmly on Goodison, and for this weekend they will be focussed in remembrance of Rhys, and of course Howard, and the game will be somewhat incidental.
Give them a tremendous and heartfelt Everton reception and show those who don't already know what a truly unique family Everton is.
