Strong rumours going round that a senior pro, believed to be Victor Anichebe is being forced to retire through injury. If true, feel so sorry for the lad. A career for a career in my opinion, Kevin Nolan should never play again!

Knowing our luck, Jags probably snapped his legs on a particularly nasty twig while taking his first light jog since his injury.

Cant see it being Jagielka, and Arteta is on the OS today saying how he cant wait to return etc. Part of the rumour is that Everton are taking legal action to sue a player, and as Jags and Arteta were not injured through a tackle, it leaves Anichebe.

On toffeeweb, someone posted something in the mail bag that said Arteta was going to retire. I'm not buying it. Let's be honest, it's probably just the stupid media screwing with us. It's not the transfer season so they can't link us with every player in existence. But they have to make up some rumours and that's what they happened to come up with.

1. Ashton retires (gutted for him, my family know him personally from his Crewe days and he is a really nice fella)
2. Prepubescent kopite gets the idea to try to WUM some blues on interweb.
