How on earth??
th
In my new role as a football agent.....

Only a few real 'oldies' will get this....but every time I hear the name George Green I think of The Back Entry Diddlers. No prize for the first poster to remember them.:)

To have addiction problems at that age is really sad and doesn't bode well for the future. Not only that, but he has chosen the crappest drug in the world to get addicted to, a depressant that makes you do things that you regret. It's an utterly crap drug that will utterly ruin him.

It depends though, if he is going out every night and drinking then I don't consider it to be much different to what everyone was doing at that age and a few years later at Uni. It may be problematic drinking, but a good 50% of my Uni peers probably met the criteria for 'problematic drinking' during their studies. But if he's going the offy and buying 8 cans to drink on his own, then that's a completely different matter.

I think he'll end up in League One or Two, will build his reputation back up and then might get another chance higher up the league structure

I hope so anyway, good luck to him

We'll be buying him back off Wigan in 6 years time and today's youngsters will be wondering why on earth we let him go in the first place.

Perhaps.
