Green is a surprise. Lundstram seemed promising at the start but kind of faded out.

If this is true, it's very sad. Loads of players don't make it at the highest level, but it's terrible when they miss out over something like this.

Wow, people won't be able to put Green into their imaginary lineups for 2017/18 season.

Jeez Dundalk lad Ben McLoughlin gone as well..this was the lad who signed as part of a deal to play a friendly in Oriel Park Dundalk which never happened.

There must be something in the rumours about Green's personal situation. It's very unlike the club to release a player like him without giving him another couple of years.

I think he'll end up in League One or Two, will build his reputation back up and then might get another chance higher up the league structure
