Indeed, it's both. It's the managers responsibility to install it and on that basis he's failing by some distance.

I'm just greatfull that we've got quite a few top draw footballers otherwise I'm posative we would have gone down this season, Villa style.

Both are to blame, even with zero tactical information, if these players were half as good as they and we think they are, we'd still look capable of winning matches.

Coleman, McCarthy & Baines to name three have been very poor for the last few months.

Martinez will blame it on anything. Excuse after excuse because he wants to keep his job.

Definitely both but ultimately the manager is culpable.

Basically that's nailed it. If he can't change the situation then it's easier to change the manager and coaching team than it is to change the squad.

Martinez is doing himself no favours, but some of the players owe him a fair bit for what he's done for their careers, and should be showing that more than they have in the last couple of games.

Both, but not 50/50 for me. Any manager, including Martinez should get more out of our current squad of players. About 70/30 imo

this really. we've been the better team in a lot of games this season and our performances haven't been overly crap too often. results haven't reflected it. he should have hired a better defensive coach, obviously, but he can't keep getting the flack from stupid mistakes like coleman's today which again was the difference. When howard was making them, okay, he should never have been picked. He's not exactly picking teams and formations that are bizzare and mind-boggling.

way too many individual errors from our players, namely in defence, there's only so much he can do once they cross that white line. Maybe he's lost most of them, but they should still be playing for the badge and the club that pays their wages. I don't agree with everything my bosses say, but i still get my head down and do my job properly.
