More than double the games of Lee, with a better win ratio. But not in the same league as Catterick or Kendall. Even Royle managed to get silverwear. Why we still talking about him anyway.

Interesting question. His farewell ovation last season (v West Ham) demonstrated a deep regard was felt by Evertonians. That he has subsequently undermined that regard is unquestionable. But we move on.....

At the end of the day, I guess the best summation of his tenure is 'he did the best he could'.

Got a lot of respect for how he kept us up and around the top 5/6 on a negative net spend pretty much every year. Made some of the best signings in the clubs history and deserved to win a cup or have a go in the Champions League group stages with us.
