Longest time since relegation
Of the current top-flight sides, Arsenal have gone longest without top flight relegation. Their last relegation was in 1913. On the upside, their last promotion to the top flight was earlier than that, so we all know they’re cheating.
Everton are second, last relegated in 1951, followed by Liverpool (1954).
Newcomers Blackpool haven’t been relegated since the last time they were here, which gives them a creditable donkey’s years since their last top-flight relegation in 1971.
Seven current top flight clubs have suffered relegation in the last ten years: City, West Brom (every other year), Sunderland, Newcastle, Birmingham, Wolves, and West Ham.
Having never been there before, Wigan are the only current incumbents never to have been relegated from the top flight.
