That's very harsh after the effort of the last 6 games or so.

That’s what worry’s me. The fixtures we have look and are winnable, but, we are playing every 3 days and have no depth or quality to rotate.

Gordon especially and also gray looked knocked after half time and I am just waiting for delph to snapp both hamstrings during the warm up. Iwobi still looks relatively “fresh” compared to the others and that’s why I’d like him back in the middle. Maybe 4-5-1 without the ball for the next 2 games with him as the 8 again?

He’s also the only one that actually attempt through balls into space and gets the opposition defenders turning and facing their own goal.

And as you said, the effort that has gone in over the last 6 games , especially at home, is very easy to forget , but is so so important when considering how we should set up

Where I stand on this is, we’re clearly favourites to stay up. But I am annoyed at the performance last night, there was no need to approach the game in such an ultra cautious manner. Watford offered absolutely no threat and there was very little risk in us attacking them and looking to put them to the sword. We could be going into Sunday not having to worry about other teams’ results at all, yet here we are putting another 200 pages on this thread talking about every single permutation that could happen.

It was incredibly frustrating that we settled for the point at kick off yesterday. The sooner we can set fire to this thread the better for us all.

Should have put iwobi in cm at half time, Coleman to RB and played 4-5-1.

Would have left us solid still but given us the extra man in CM and also put our ( and I can’t believe I’m saying this) best/most creative CM as the number 8 and would have given us a chance to win the match rather than “hoping” something broke for us.

Isn't the most pressure when you're actually in the bottom 3, like we were before Chelsea and Leicester?

Kind of but it also makes it very clear what you need to do. Look how it worked for us. Went out and performed against Man U and chelsea as we knew that it was basically all or nothing. As soon as we got out of it the players seemed nervous as all of a sudden we had something to lose.

Leeds will be absolutely pumped for Brighton and I actually think they will win. 2-1 at Arsenal , with 10 men and after their keeper had gifted them a goal , is not a bad performance . City is city and no shame getting beat by them, the injuries and suspensions may be the deciding factor for them.

I am not sure we will beat brrantfird either, the players look tired , and it’s understandable when they have had 3 huge performances in the past couple of weeks and are now playing every 3 days.

Brentford won’t be coming and trying to pin us back and dominate the ball like Man U and chelsea , and we struggle badly to break teams down and are still shocking at being caught out by simple long balls played over the top into space for their strikers to chase.

I’d also fancy Ivan Tibet against Keane as we all know he struggles against good target men.

Hope I’m wrong but I don’t think we will have this done by the Brentford game and I think we will be going into the palace game NEEDING a win

While hopefully still getting rid of a lot of these players, and does not think because they "Saved us" that they deserve new 1 year deals or more etc

I don’t care if we win the next 3 games 5 nil and play like the 1970 Brazil team.

I will not let these players hoodwink me and have me believing they are suddenly good enough.

Bar Gordon, Pickford , milyenko, Allan, Richy and Coleman the effort levels have not been there consistently enough and that is unforgivable.

From that list of players that do put in the required effort consistently, two are to old or too slow and need replacing and Richy is not good enough technically .

The rest need to be released or sold depending on their contract situation.

I know we are all apprehensive about the remaining games, and this Sunday’s in particular, but I think Leeds have a mountain to climb.
They have won 4 games at home all season;their last home win was against Norwich(last minute winner) in mid-March and before that they beat Burnley on 2nd January.
For every goal they score at home they concede 2 and they now have depleted ranks due to injuries and suspensions.
Anything is possible in Football as our own Everton experiences will testify but I believe Leeds will be really up against it on Sunday.

In contrast, Everton have won 4 home games since Lampard took over and have beaten Chelsea and Man Utd who have tonked Leeds at Elland Road.

We just need to focus on ourselves and get behind the team as we have done in the most recent “must win” fixtures…it’s in our hands!

Good for Spurs, bad for Arsenal and means nothing to Everton as we are going to win our next two games ;)

Struggling to see how we in any way resemble spurs and vice versa .

One plays in a billion pound stadium and has the best CF in the league and the future all time goal scorer for England, along with one of the best wingers in the league, managed by a prem winning manager and in the hunt for CL with 2 games to go.

They consistently score goals and and don’t set up the opposition at least once a game … they are nothing like us

Massive improvements are needed in all parts.

interesting, this has been kept quiet by the 'leeds are misunderstood and everton need 4 wins' brigade

Yet, when you listen to their nutty manager speak, you`d never believe they now have a first team of three players, haven`t won in a month and are in the bottom three.

Apparently, us and Burnley had better watch out lol
