Since that optimistic moment, they have missed the peno, conceded an equaliser, lost a key player to serious injury, and seen their rivals for the drop steal a last gasp point against the odds.

I'm pessimistic at the best of times, but if that was Everton's run of events I'd be seeking out the sharpest Gillettes a man can get.

TBH, I'm braced for Burnley to pick up a win in the next 2 games.

We can still suffer that and get our couple of wins at home to Brentford, Palace and probably at Watford.

Chelsea are falling to bits so them at home isn't a complete write off

The positive is this is the first time we have scored points back to back in a long time. However, on the evidence of that we will lose the next too and will need to hope Leicester are running on fumes by the time we face them again. Good chance Burnley win one of the next 2 games. This is going down to the wire. I was hoping we could pull Leeds into it but can’t see that happening now

Yeah Leicester just played in second gear pretty much after the goal and were barely troubled until last 10 minutes. Only consolation for the away game is hopefully they'll be deflated after losing away to Roma and I doubt the 11 they'll put out will be as strong as tonight which was pretty much their first choice team bar Vardy.

I really believe who finishes 18th now hinges on who dosen't win at Watford away. Simply have to turn up for that one and score first and see what happens.

My god there is simply no optimism left in our fan base, let's be realistic we do keep fighting and we seem to be scraping something. Burnley are crap and Leeds are slipping, no game is a given and no loss is a guarantee. My god stop crying and let's have a little hope.
