Not good enough. Needed three points. A distinct possibility we will be in the bottom three after next two games for both us and Burnley. They will be happy with this result.
Nah. If they'd have taken their chance at WHU and we'd lost we'd be in trouble. They'd have been poised to climb above us. As it is we have a 4 point lead over them.

Get Liverpool out of the way then get 6-8 points and we're home.

In the short term that's a good point.

Lose and would be incredibly vulnerable to Burnley over next few days, now at least 4 point gap is maintained so they're going to have to get some wins themselves.

Tonight was a reminder though that it's not going to be as simple at Goodison as many are thinking. Was a very nervous performance chasing the game which is still an issue under Lampard.

Really need an away win from somewhere in the run in as I can see Chelsea winning and even 4 points off Brentford-Palace would only get to 33 points and really don't think that would be enough.

We're still in the thick of it, and it looks like we're relying on Burnley being less crap than us to stay up.

Still though considering that we were staring down the barrel of a defeat, that was a decent result in the end. Is it asking too much, to hope for a point at anfield?

We’re painfully poor. A Premier league team who literally cannot do the basics right, like pass a football, keep possession, construct an attack. Hopefully Burnley continue to be crap.

I do agree with this to an extent. It’s like how in the cold light of day we didn’t really play well against either Newcastle, Man United or Leicester- and yet from those three games we have 7 points. So arguably we are picking up scrappy points. Whereas Burnley got beat by Norwich and blew it against West Ham.

Basically I think for Burnley to survive we need to lose at least 3/4 with them winning at least probably 3/4 games between now and the end of the season. I, like you, can see the former happening as we’re pretty bad (understatement I know) but I just don’t see the latter happening fortunately for us.
I’ll check back in tomorrow, if Burnley get beat tomorrow then I’d say we are on the road to survival. Unfortunately football can’t be based on what they’ve done previously, it’s what they do in the upcoming games.

And while they still have a chance I won’t be writing anything off
