Imo it matters because if they both lost today then we'd only be 4 and 5 points behind them with 4 games in hand on both them so a couple of good results from us in those games in hand and Leeds and Brentford are dragged into the thick of it and the pressure applied which takes some heat of us and our players. As it stands its between us, Burnley and Watford with us relying on them having bad weekends every weekend. The more the merrier eh. I'd rather a 1 in 5 chance of going down than a 1 in 3
Well after today’s results, it is more or less 3 out of 4, we (Everton team) need to not worry about anyone else and do what they are suppose to do and play football to get points, not just give up when we go a goal down. If we are relying on others to keep losing to stay up we deserve to go down. How we’ve been this season in the main is pathetic and tbh we deserve to be in the drop zone, we aren’t due to 3 being worst we are extremely lucky as 3 being worse you would think is impossible.

Exactly. We have zero character to respond to reversals, but the possibility is there for us.

If we win one away game - that'll do. We'd just need two home wins to get us pretty much over the line.
Law of averages, surely we'll nick some away points

A point today and a point on Wednesday will be acceptable to me.

It puts more distance between us and the bottom three and we go another round of games closer to the end of the season in a stronger position.

I think with Goodison up for it we can turn United over next week.
