What happens if they just get 4 points off Leeds and Southampton at home and get a draw off Watford? That gets them to 35 points and their GD is slightly better aswell. They've just beaten Norwich and Burnley back to back so think they've got enough about them to beat a couple of on the beach teams in run in as Southampton are now given they've just lost at home to Newcastle and Watford.

Good at least if they take points off Leeds (I feel they have enough momentum to get over the line now with their two late winners) and Watford (much more pressing that).

Hand on heart I'd be amazed if this team is safe going into the final day. Even being 3 clear of Burnley say will be no guarentee given it's away to Arsenal. Lose there by a couple of goals as they could well still need a win to get top 4 and all it would take would be Burnley beating Newcastle at home if the GD stays largely the same.

Someone said above this team is useless going a goal down away and I completely agree. Ran around like men possessed at 0-0 today but offered nothing once the first went in so that dosen't bode well for the remaining away games. Desperately need to score first at likes of Burnley and Watford.

Also a bit worrying people assume Palace at home is a certain 3 points after today and generally their record at Goodison in last decade is pretty good on the whole. Don't think just beating Brentford at home in the run in will be anywhere near enough unless the team properly grows some balls on the road.

Despite the instant euphoria of the Iwobi goal I think there's still a bit of pain ahead in next few weeks. Think Watford got Leeds at home coming up so they could win that and it would be proper panic stations going into playing them.
If we are needing anything from Arsenal last game, forget it, we are down. That and Anfield are absolutely guaranteed defeats, put the mortgage on them.

Well, I searched on the forum for all my posts this season where I used the term 'pony' and none referred to West Ham.

Are you sure about this?

* That said, they have gone off the boil in recent weeks and we play them 4 days before they play in the EL QF 1st leg against Lyon.

If I was Moyes I'd be looking to rest up players there...and if I were a WHU player I'd be looking to avoid a battle.

They way we're playing Dave it will be like a training game for West Ham ahead of their Europa league game.

We still need to rearrange Watford away and Palace home games. It looks like 27/4 and 4/5 are available, so these games in hand are probably going to be hanging over the fixtures for a while yet.

the moment we are mathematically safe, drop these mother truckers and play the under 12's and sell them all
Alot of things need to change to avoid this happening again next season. Bin the Chairman, board, academy coaches, 80% of the first team and grand old team.

The song, not the website. All I can think of is that clown kenwright signing that with his big smug head. Also, the majority of our fan base weren’t alive for our “history”! I’m fortunate enough to remember it and I still hate the song

Sorry mate, could you repeat that again?

Haha sorry for the rather long analysis! That's the thing deep in relegation battles you constantly look at other teams fixtures (I basically know all Watford and Burnley home games off by heart now) so you make predictions (which will all likely be wrong).

To summarize I think Brentford will get 4 points off Southampton and Leeds at home. Might even get a draw v West Ham so they'll be o.k imo.

Main task is simply to stay above Watford and Burnley rather than thinking teams 4-5 points clear will come back into the mix, perhaps one will by mid May.

As I said earlier in my long winded post they played Villa less than 72 hours after Sevilla away and it was basically the same full strength team bar them starting Benrahama. Right or wrongly Moyes will still feel they can push for top 4 so don't get why he'd put a weaker team out before a first leg compared to going full strength between the two ties v Sevilla.

Best hope is in international break some of Rice, Antonio, Soucek pick up knocks as then they probably won't be risked. Jarred Bowen may also be back aswell.
