It is a little heart warming to see how quite this thread has become since the Leeds game. A very promising performance indeed. Does this mean that the majority opinion is now that we will comfortably stay up? I will be honest with you, I think this is still going down to the wire due to our run in. Bad results against Southampton and City could see us right back in the thick of things
Not confident but the performances against Leeds and Brentford gives me hope that we can pull it out of the bag and get over 40 pointsLook at this run in
How can anyone be confident

You do know the teams below us and Brentford all have the same or similar fixtures? Not confident but the performances against Leeds and Brentford gives me hope that we can pull it out of the bag and get over 40 points
4/5 more wins and 2/3 draws will be more than enough to survive this season.
15 more points roughly I reckon - 4 wins + 3 draws4/5 more wins and 2/3 draws will be more than enough to survive this season.
Only United is an easy three points; the rest are tough...Not confident but the performances against Leeds and Brentford gives me hope that we can pull it out of the bag and get over 40 points
Hopefully Mr Moyes can help against Newcastle too.On paper, good chances of Burnley Watford Norwich and Brentford all losing this weekend.
Even a draw would be a decent result at Southampton for us if that all happened.
I reckon it'll be as low as 33 points to survive.

I'm thinking 34/35 points would likely do it, but we need to push it up toward 40 to be cast iron safe.
