I just think there’s more than enough there and this manager or the next will do enough to make the cut off points total and above

although I would revise if bottom 3 at Xmas, but I don’t think we will be. Even if bottom three I think about 40% of teams pull clear in 2nd half.

this is not me saying that all’s rosy. No. The clubs a joke and the seasons an unmitigated disaster by all involved.

Facts here. We may very well get 0 points from the next four games. That coupled with roughly a point a game from the first 15, means on this form we could be 19 games in (midway point) with 14 points.
Fearing the worst to be honest, even the eternal optimist would be perplexed to how this team are going to beat the drop.
I've seen it said on here 'Oh we'll have a good run, we always do, pick up points'. Yes we did with Allardyce, Koeman etc, but this is with Silva and a whole different squad. It can't be compared. The Villa, Norwich and Brighton horror shows show that this team simply isn't up to it. What a time to be a blue!

We definitely need a new manager with a sense of tactics - so the backroom staff and coaches of the new manager is equally important. I don't see any lack of effort or commitment from the players, it's just that our selection (Siggy and Schneiderlin), tactics and style are not working at all. So I hope we get tactics and clever coaching
