Relegation 23/24 Thread

There isn’t really a “bad” result possible to be fair. At least one of them has to drop points. But also one of them has to gain points and that’s the way some of the more unstable fans in our fanbase will be thinking of it, therefore there is no good result possible.
Every result will be turned into a negative, by someone. Some are probably waiting now and wish the game would hurry up, so they can let rip lol

its the same frustration as last season. If only we could dig deep and string 3 or 4 wins together all this nightmare would be over the season. We've had it in our hands multiple times and lost it. Same as last season. I just dont think Dyche knows how to win games.
Palace and brighton games for me even west han just so frustrating. We beat either on palace/brighton would have been massive boost. Just need a win to settle the squad/fans

Possible big perk about the result last night is that it means Luton will likely have to attack the game against us when we play them. Surely we can take advantage,of that?

Luton attack every game they play. Its just they cant defend well enough. That game is a few games from the end. Hopefully we are above them by that much (Doubt it), that the game means nothing in terms of us needing to win, to get safe. We dont know what can happen between now and that game in early May

If Luton lose Saturday there on 21 points with only 6 games left they can take points out of (they play City Spurs Arsenal away in the next 4) theyd have to win 3 out of 6 to even reach 30 points

Doesn't bear thinking about how desperate our situation would be had Luton not slung away so many points this season. Their result at Newcastle springs to mind, 4-2 up against a side in terrible form yet drawing 4-4, hauling themselves from 2-0 down against Villa only to then lose and of course last night which is barely believable result. There have been a few others as well.

Having said that, if it were not for our points deduction, we would be 10 points ahead of them, which would be an insurmountable gap. It's only the threat of another deduction, and one for Forest too, as to why they're even remotely in the conversation for survival.

The fact they can't hold onto results bodes well for us, gives the notion that they lack either the tactical know-how or discipline to get the job done. They do score goals though, which we can't say about ourselves and we are in dire need of sorting that out.

Last nights exhibition of exploding bladders was only a warm up for the mighty Luton v Forest game at the weekend.

I fully expect us to be officially declared as relegated at the end of the game, no matter what the result.
Relegated before St Paddy’s Day has been a long standing dream of many on here. Liquidated before Easter if we do it right.
