There's clearly a chance. We're 1 point above the bottom 3 and 3rd bottom has a game in hand. It's naive at best to think that there's no chance.
Seeing as our next 4 games are very very tough we could easily be pointless from the next 4, no doubt we will be sat in the relegation places ....

What do we think we will get points wise from the next 4?

Villa (H)
Fulham (A)
Spurs (H)
City (A)

Honestly I don`t see any wins here, no wins would make it 7 without a win... where will we be in mid Feb after this run of games bearing in mind Luton have Burnley & Sheff Utd in their next 4 games. We are well and truly in the battle like the last 2 seasons, those thinking we aren`t are deluding themselves.

Many will pints towards the deduction, we may get some back but we may not, can`t rely on that to keep us up, we have to do it then worry about the appeal, I don`t think we can stay up without any points coming back, we will struggle to get to 35 points this season.

If we can’t match Luton on points for the next 17 games.. that right 17 games, we deserve to go down
I'm not sure that's true. I'm confident that over 38 games we'll score more points than Luton, but they theoretically have easier fixtures than us now, which changes things a bit. Not to mention that we've had 10 points taken from us

Villa home is a chance, their away form isn't great. Who knows which Fulham will turn up. Spurs again a very hot and cold team, so those 3 could be anything between 0 and 9 points. City away is very rough.

No point conjecturing who we might get a point or a win from.

We will pick up points, without the deduction we would be 12th. We need the team back that got us those 4 wins.

The sooner Keane is out the team and Doucs returns the better.
The sooner we can get Keane out of the club the better with a fit for purpose replacement.

The guy is a liability!

I didn`t realise just how bad our chance conversion was... we are bottom of the league, Imagine where we`d be if players could finish! We`ve had 396 shots at goal, only the RS have more and we are joint second with Arsenal. So we are getting the chances but the players we have aren`t capable of scoring.

Imagine where we would be if the conversion rate was just 3% higher, we`d have as many goals as Arsenal! I don`t think this is a formation or system issue, this is players who have never been goal scorers that, if we want to progress, needs replacing.

sure sure. So we got 26 points from our first half of the season, with every statistical measurement suggesting we were unfortunate to not get a few more.

But suddenly we can’t possibly survive expect to get a point a game and get to 35 pts 😅 absolute waffle.

OK fair enough, nailed on 26 points from the next half of the season, I`d like to be so arrogant to think it would be that straight forward.

In all likelihood we are not getting a 4 game winning run, that was a blip brought about by the deduction, so you could probably take the majority of them points away.

After the next 4 game we are likely to be in the relegation zone, how is the mentality then? As with the last 2 seasons we have found out that once your amongst it as we are it is very difficult to get away from it with the pressures involved.

Well, at the moment we're in a relegation dogfight, which is disappointing after that 4-game winning streak, but it's easy to forget that just a few short weeks ago we were sat on 4 points and it felt like we might not even make it into a relegation scrap. So it is what it is, but we do need some momentum back. The teams below us must still be a bit nipped that they're ending the year behind us, considering the help the deduction gave them.

Not sure why people keep writing off the next 4 games, like they are 100% certain defeats. we have to many people doing this every few weeks, saying we wont win the next game, or in the next 2/3 etc. same as when we were playing the likes of Chelsea/Newcastle, and many times during the season - I myself think we have a very decent chance the next 2

where to start….

yeah take away our points gained in our 4 game winning run - totally logical. 😅. Does that mean we can have our points back in the early home games were we battered the opposition. Cos that was a “blip” too.

you don’t have to look too far ago to see our mentality about being in the relegation zone, it was after our points deduction.

Fortunate that our relegation rivals also lost.

Indeed, and there’s a reason for that. They’re absolutely rubbish.

this all conquering Luton team have 15 points from 19 games. The last game they won due to 2 own goals. Their effort and attitude is commendable but the sheer lack of Premier league talent is clear. Think Burnley still might finish above them personally.

No, I`m saying we won`t have a run like that again this season so we are not likely to gain another 26 points in the last half of the season.... It`s only my opinion and I`m not saying I`m right, we will end up with 30-35 points. Not sure that is enough with Luton improving and coming with us a point behind.

I think a few on here are saying "let`s be wary" because we are in this fight, looking at the table will tell you that. Who outside of the bottom 3 is in it the most, us, because we are 17th and 1 point away.

You are firmly in the camp that everything is sound and what happened in the 1st half of the season will definitely happen in the 2nd, I`m saying be wary that may not be the case. We are 1 Doucoure injury away from another massive drop in form, the 4 game winning streak was a freak blip and will not be repeated this season or even in the next 5 seasons.
