They play with ridiculous intensity. That said this season in the league they only drew 2-2 at West Ham and Wolves and lost at Bournemouth so not the same team on the road. Think Howe will mix the team up a bit as they've put the same 11 out three times in a week.

A draw for sure, probably need a bit of luck to win it but it could be possible.

They might be a bit naff away but we are truly awful at home.

Points per game average would have us on 46 points without deduction now. 36 with.

You'd expect 36 to be enough easily based on the current points per game for Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United.

Luton currently the best of these and are on track to get to 25 or so

Sounds like Pope is a bad one and will be definitely out. That said the eleven they put out is very good but hopefully there may be fatigue creeping in with no one really able to relieve them. It’s a good time to face them for sure. Get right stuck in and hope they don’t have the legs for a battle.
Before the International break they were flagging badly, bournemouth ran them ragged, but that is Ireola's style too and Bournemouth settling into it. I hope they feel a bit of fatigue but watching last night's game(albeit at St. James') they looked a lot fitter than Utd(who beat us easily)

Gotta turn our home form around and it would be a massive boost if we could do it v Newcastle

As much as i hate them as a club they are a very well coached side who are very consistent in how they play.

This will be very tough on Thursday but if we approach the game the right way we can beat them.

Our next 3 home games are all tricky on paper, so it's now time to start turning around the home form. If we can do that, we will be ok come the end of the winter, but it's been a problem for a good 3 years now.

If we could get 1 win from the next 2 games in the incoming week, that would be a very decent return.
