no offense to the OP, i think that a lot of times we have gotten cheated by refs, but honestly in the last few weeks i don't believe that's the case.

big calls like red cards are important, but what i believe really decides games are the numerous fouls during game play, most games contain plenty of 50-50 balls where both players collide, and someone needs to get called. i think recently we've been pretty fairly treated in this area.

tim cahill should have gotten the penalty called, but it should have been neville talking to the ref, not cahill. dissent is bookable, end of. cahill is one of my favourite players, and sure he could have been given a break, but you always run that risk when you dissent, and i'm sure the manager made it clear that the mistake was his fault and his alone.

we've been awarded 3 penalties in our last 2 games, thats more than we had all of last season. now is definitely the worst time to complain about poor reffing decisions.
