Ill be completely honest I dont really rate Hibbert- the one strength he did have, tackling, seems to have deserted him. He was found out for pace yesterday and after watching the replay of Gerrard bursting through for the umpteenth time he made a poor decision in not going to win the ball from Voronin.

I just think some people really need to grow a bit though ;)

I'm not taking sides between you and Mike, but it has to be said that he's the weakest link at the moment, it has already been mentioned in this thread that his positioning and pace was not up to the mark yesterday, i think that was obvious to anybody who saw the game.
Not so long ago i had high hopes for him, hopefuly he'll re-discover his form.
 
It is not just the last game but Hibbert's positioning has been off in other games this season which had or nearly had awful consequences.

Bruce the lads did do well yesterday, no doubt of that but we are right to look at Hibbert's play. The story may have been different if we had not gifted them a penalty!!

Latch my beef isnt with what he said- I actually agree with him, we have a much better option at right back in Jags or Neville. Its just the way he goes about it, and people think its ok and funny- but not me.
 
I dont understand this thread whats the point in blasting hibbo. im not his biggest fan by far but that [Poor language removed] [Poor language removed]-house gerrard went down like a bag of [Poor language removed]. hes a cheating **** an hibbert should not have been sent off or a penulty given.never mind giving hibbert [Poor language removed].its that dirty fukkin jaffer stevie g lllllaaaarrrr you should be blasting. Just for once it would be nice to see some Evertonians get behind our boys!! ye so hes [Poor language removed] but he wears the blue shirt,get behind him for fukk sake!!!!
 
I'm not fighting with Mick, just not bothered anymore. And to not light the touchpaper again I feel its best to ignore his posts because I obviously rub him up the wrong way.

Probably for the best.

Hibbert fouled him, it was a penalty, it was a red card. If that was AJ going down like that we wouldn't complain. I'm not saying Gerrard is completely blameless because he isn't. But the fact is that situation was created by poor defending.
 

Ye it was poor defending but that football!! this is how chances are created. people fukk up,every goal ever scored could be prevented in some way. No way it was a foul both had hold of each others shirt, gerrard got in the penulty box an went down right away like he'd been shot. I'll have to diffa with you cos he's a cheating ****. an you can't compare that pen with the dozen orso on aj last year.He was chopped down most of the time.
 
Keep ranting on about Gerrard when we all know he is a tosser is a bit pointless. The fact is he should never have been allowed to get in the area to demonstrate his diving ability.
 
Exactly, I think this situation needs to have some sense applied to it and not a mindless football rant. When the dust has settled its poor defending that has cost us.

Also the penalty wasn't a clear penalty, but then again it wasn't a clear dive by anyone. It was as much a penalty as the one we should have got, so that's down to the ref's interpretation and his desire to favour one club over the other.

Liverpool players dive, our players dive, every club has divers. I doubt there are many players who wouldn't have gone down like Gerrard did.

But the fact still remains, we defended poorly for that build up, notably Hibbert.

Quite right it was our corner and they did us
On hibbert he is not premiership material simple as that but he doesn,t pick himself moysie picks him and i don,t know why thank goodness he is suspended for 3 matches.
