Get on it...

I'd definitely recommend that you get a phone. Walking to friends houses keeps you fit but when it is raining it is no fun and if they live some way away it is probably not practical. So it is a yes from me, I do recommend a phone.

i really hope windows phone overtake apple in popularity.

I had a iPhone 3GS, and I was sure I'd settle on an iPhone 4 when I was shopping around but swore that I'd give the others a shot. I picked up a Samsung Focus S and was shocked really. I got a WP and am so happy with it, I still can't believe it. WP7.5 left the iPhone and Android in the dust with the UI. The only thing that bugs me is there are a couple apps that aren't available yet, but I think eventually they'll be released for WP.

It's things like this that make me glad I'm not a fanboy of any corporation, it allows you to be objective and pick out the best for yourself. That being said the iPhone is completely solid and I was happy as can be with it, but I feel like I found a hidden gem with the Focus S, the screen, feel, cameras and UI are exceptional.

iPhone 5 in three months! Other than that I'd go for one of them nifty Windows mobiles. They genuinely look good, and the UI is interesting. I still don't get the fuss over android, and Google are EVIL!

If your iPhone 4s is draining fast, go to settings and do the following

Turn off all location services
Turn off Cellular data (Until you need it)
And make sure your iCloud back up is being performed in the night when you have the phone on charge
Turn WiFi off
Turn Bluetooth off
Turn Vibration off
Turn off Push Data (set to manual)
Make sure Auto Lock is set to 1 minute
And turn the Equaliser off, it drains the battery for some reason (settings > Music > Equaliser)
Finally, make sure auto brightness is turned on

Whoever told you the iphone 5 will be along in 5 months is full of rubbish. Apple have a cash cow to milk and it has only been here since October. The next iPhone won't be here at least until then.

And I think Brian is somewhat (lol) of an iPhone expert. I am sure he would have turned off all his crap to extend the life.

Yes, I am pretty much sure my next phone is probably gonna be the Nokia Lumia 900. Sexy screen and camera, running WP 7.5

Yes, I am pretty sure of it.....

It will be here July'ish, mark my words. The 4S was a delayed product launch, and the 5 was already in development with Jobs having spent quite a bit of time on it already before his death.

I'm pretty confident the 5 will bring the annual iPhone release dates back on track

Android absolutely benches your crappy apple all over the show lad.
