The downside of smartphones regardless of brand is their abysmal battery life. That said, my SE Xperia Ray will do a couple of days quite easily; this includes daily t'internet/wifi usage loads of chinese bride emails with several nuisance calls thrown in.b)

I'm waiting for the natural successor to the HTC Desire HD, which is still by far and away the best phone I've ever seen. It's getting the ICS update, but it's showing it's age now.

Samsung Galaxy S2 or the iPhone4S are the current kings of the genre though. I don't particularly like Apple phones, but you'll miss it if you choose anything else that's on the market right now IMO.

I wholeheartedly disagree. Touchscreen is fine for me (although I hardly use it). Only thing I don't think is brilliant is the mouse thingy (middle button that you use to select stuff, dunno what its called). I'm not a phone geek and it works fine for what I use it for so leave me alone you monster *flounces

I had a Balckberry Bold 9930 for what seemed to be far too long (for work). The touchscreen is doo-doo. Mind you, I do have manly fingers. I am sure it is better suited to petite, girly fingers.

There are positives to being a ladyboy like me D.

I don't understand the while battery life concerns. Like as long as it lasts a day, you can charge it overnight. No phone needs to last longer than a day really????
