Reclining - Is it acceptable?

I appreciate this is a radical suggestion Ian but could you have not have had a polite word with them to convey your annoyance?
Maybe, but they didn't, nor do they investigate when the woman kept jamming the back of her seat into my wife's head.
 

Will only do it on a night flight if the person behind me is reclining as well.

Doing it in any other time makes you an arsehole of the highest order.
 


Don't do it on short flights (less than 5 hours) but will do it on longer flights, especially overnight.
As my seat is designed to go back, that means I have paid for the space just behind my head, just as the person in front of me has paid for the space just behind their head.
