Reasons not to watch X-Factor

I was forced to watch it last night at my sisters and I only saw 1 girl who was good, and she was very good. But I saw one group who were [Poor language removed], looked [Poor language removed], looked annoying, I would have loved to have ripped their stupid stupid high hair out.

Stupid Irish twins who are only through to the live show because Louis Walsh is Irish, and those twins are Irish.

It's pathetic. Absolutely and utterly pathetic.

If I dress up like a leprechaun and drink lots of Guiness, do I have a shot? No, because I can't sing. What is the difference?

Each to their own and all that. I think it's a pretty awful show, hence why I don't watch it or buy and of the records related to it. Things like this, and the charts in general, are largely an irrelevance now aren't they?

I was forced to watch it last night and I knew Louis Walsh would do what he did today. But it annoys me that he thinks he's doing the right thing when he clearly isn't.

I do have to agree with you over the twins. Louis Walsh is pathetic choosing these two when Ronan Keating gave him advice saying they are not that good.

Exactly why I don't like the program and all it stands for.

Programs like this are not about music, they are about fame. They rarely make stars out of the so called winners, and if they do they do not last. The popstar is dead, the music mogul/the super manager has arrived. From once pushing the Kylies and the Cliffs, the intellectuals behind the scenes are making a break for the limelight.
