Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian

The Unobstructed View
There are figures being thrown around that 25,000 have renewed their Season Tickets, now to some that will be seen or certainly quoted as an endorsement to 'carry on as you are' but for a great many it is far from that, with a deadline to keep your seat a large amount quite simply don't want their seat to become available on General Sale. Then there's an early Bird deadline as well which see's the price of a Season Ticket increase & my Adult 1 would jump up by £95 some would see increases of £115.

So what's the reason for you renewing yours ?

Is it ....

If you even have to pose that question you don't get what being a football fan is all about.

I renewed because it is what I do.

No matter who the manager is.....no matter who the owner is.....no matter even we go into the Championship.

I love my club and even in this horrible run, EFC enriches my life.

And as long as I can afford to do so and my health allows me to go the game, I shall continue to renew ;)

I've not renewed yet, as there's no way in Gods earth I'm sitting through another season of that bilge.

I've jibbed out of 5 games already and next week will be 6.

It'll be interesting to see how many seats appear as available come the 10th.

Haven't renewed mine yet.

Probably will do before the early bird deadline.

Not worried about losing my seat as it's that far back no bugger will try and take it anyway.

I renewed because nothing beats a match day with your mates, and the pre/post-match drinks and debate.

Not letting the actual team on the pitch and those 90 minutes ruin my weekends anymore though. If we do well next season then it's a bonus.

Never felt like this before to be honest. I've always gone into a match completely confident we can win it regardless of the opposition, and leaving disappointed when we don't.

Cant renew mine as I'm unsure where I will be later on this year.
If it wasnt for that I'd 100% be renewing regardless of manager/board/state we're in

I'm an Evertonian, its what we do.

*Thread Sidebar - I too have some questions.

Q: If you buy a Season Ticket in the same seat can you just go and sit in it whenever you feel like it?

Q: Who has had the same seat for the longest?

Q: Has anyone actually died in their seat, or say retired from their seat and then did it feel weird when someone new turns up?

Q: Can you change your seat if someone stinky or just a pleb sits next to you?

Q: Do you become mates with the same people in the seats around you? And do you gossip about where they are if they don't turn?

Thanks,

McB

Same here.

I thought long and hard about moving next season.

Maybe it's because if the horrible football I have endured since the turn of the year but suddenly sat near the back of the Lower Bullens where you lose sight of the ball if it goes twenty feet in the air is making me feel claustrophobic o_O

I was tempted to move to the wide open spaces of the Upper B......or even the Main Stand.

Can you put I just want to go out and get pissed with me mates, cos that's what I've been doing for the past 2 years with the occasional half decent performance thrown in. Chelsea twice, city in the cup, villa meh... Sunderland went to 2-2 before we pushed on and Newcastle where everyone was booing until the last 10 mins we grabbed 2 more goals. Bournemouth I was still downstairs drinking when we scored the 2nd, awful game but witnessed loads getting off early as it was so dire.

With all [Poor language removed] included I probably spend a minimum of 7000 a year as I go most aways, and there's guys out there who do much more.

He goes or we go, the apathy ironically is screaming loud now.

Same at the back of the lower Gwladys - originally there for the atmosphere but that's not as appealing as it used to be.

I could be savoring those boos sat in a seat with a much better view.
