I'm looking to get involved in social activities - and away from the lure of the Internet. It's killing me slowly.

I'm trying to be a better person, but far too many are trying to wind me up. Calling me Apple fan boy, and racist, etc.... I can't have an opinion without it causing trouble. It's just too much.

I used to be always out, meeting people, doing stuff. My wife works and plays darts lots, I work and come on here and moan, and I hate myself for it.

Some people think I am a proper tit, and I am getting patronised all over the place. Like I know **** all about Everton and football, and that I am thick and uneducated.

I'm none of them things and I know football.

I am strong minded because that's me, I'm not going to allow myself to be swayed by anyone who says so. I stand my corner, and I always will do. It's not really wanted in some areas of the world, and I have found this out in Uni, and here. It's just not a good mix for me at the moment.

But I have been trying to take the high ground when people have been winding me up, I have tried.

I don't want anyone to feel sorry for me, I just want to meet people and talk football, real football with real men. Drinking Guinness and putting the worlds to rights.

They're not a reflection of anything, and one persons comments don't represent the views of everybody else in the most part.

There is a group of guys who post here every day as part of a social outlet, and we are all probably quite happy chilling out whilst talking crap in the process.

The secret is to not worry about the crap we post, as long as we all enjoy it and don't hurt anyone in the process.
